The “Pure Rock n Roll” Show is being held at Restaurante Los Rosales, Guardamar on Tuesday 26th of February. Starring the lively and talented Woody and the Peckers giving it their own brand of “get up and dance” Rock ‘n Roll. The 3 band members have packed houses in all the venues that they play in. Gary “Woody” Woodward will also be leading the band with the best Buddy Holly Tribute in Spain.
The invited charities, who are holding their own raffle, will be Age Concern.
With the majority of Expats falling into the over 50’s bracket, Age Concern is a charity that we may all need to rely on at some stage. Formed in 1998, Age Concern Costa Blanca Sur depends on donations and sales from their charity shop to help their cause. Amongst the work they do is integrating the elderly with Spanish people and associations. Their Lifeline volunteers fulfill a very important role in welfare in the community.
Tickets are 10 Euros for show and meal. Doors open at 7pm.

FRIDAY 15th BOXING IN GUARDAMAR
Doors open in Guardamar at 10pm
A total of 8 bouts with the one professional contest featuring local heavyweight Magomed Azueva who will meet 35 year old Hungarian journeyman Gabor Farkas, veteran of 38 fights himself, including one against Norwegian Leif Larsen who many will remember from his Torrevieja fight days 6 or 7 years ago.
The contest will see plenty of fireworks with two big punchers in action and seems very unlikely to go the distance. The 7 other bouts feature many of the area’s best amateur fighters, some of who will certainly become boxers to follow.
The show is being held on Friday night at Barlo Guardamar Disco and doors open at 10pm.

ZUMBA VENUE GUARDAMAR
I currently run a Monday evening Zumba class at the Casino Bar in Guardamar which unfortunately is closing down again on 9th December so am looking for a new venue. Does anyone know of a hotel/bar/gym etc in Guardamar which would have a suitable room to hold a regular class?
